Jacques Germanier, one of the leaders on the Swiss Wine market since the seventies, brought to South Africa his skills, expertise, and experience in grapes growing, in wine making and marketing,  more than 25 years ago.

To do so, he bought the Sonop Wine Farm, a 120 ha agricultural land, which is located in the South West of the country, in the Paarl region and which sums up outstanding natural assets as well as perfect conditions for farming:

 -      A Mediterranean-like climate 

-      A fertile and rich soil

-      Welcoming people 

The best conditions were met to launch the production of quality South African Organic and Fairtrade wines.

Org de Rac Organic Wine Estate

It's hard not to notice Org de Rac Organic Wine Estate when you cross the Berg River towards Piketberg on the N7.

But Org de Rac is much more than organic – more than vineyards, wine, lavender, rosemary, olives and no words for the fantastic view and beautiful surroundings.

Bon Cap

Growing grapes since the late 1920’s Bon Cap Organic Wine Cellar produced its first wines in 2002, the same year the farm received full organic status.

Sustainable farming is a worldwide concern among people who care about the health of their families and the environment. One solution to the problem is organic farming. Organic crops are grown in harmony with nature and strict international regulations prohibit the use of any chemical products such as pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, weed killers, etc.

Lazanou Organic Vineyards

Lazanou Organic Vineyards is situated in the picturesque Wellington valley approximately 45 minutes drive from Cape Town, South Africa. The altitude of the farm is 119 meters (390 feet) above sea level.

Lazanou Organic Vineyards is more than an award winning wine farm. It is a way of life where owners Josef Lazarus and Candice Stephanou and their two children Noah and Hannah endeavour to live a relatively self-sustainable life style. Their Jersey cow produces the milk that is use to make butter and cheese.
